The built motor is still a ways out...
After the paint is done, and it runs again, the stockpiling of engine internals will begin! With a price tag higher than blue book for the car its going to take some time, but it will be well worth the cost and time.-

Thanks! I said it would just add to the look, and it does... It also gives something to focus on to get some decent pics without the white balance of the camera being all screwed up.
I do have a few more stencils being made for the last remaining parts I will be painting, but until its done, I'm not telling...-

The Harley shops have a rubber decal they do white walls with. They need to be heated on, but its permanent and doesn't discolor or crack like the paints.
If they can get them for a 15" wheel... I see no problem.-

Oh and one for Don...
Install went easy! Only took a couple hours start to finish, never even looked at the instructions...-

The paint finish is amazing! I could only get that rusty effect by stripping back to bare metal and leaving in the rain for a few days LOL

If MINI where to do a paint job like this... You could count on adding quite a few thousand dollars to the sticker... Its like that brushed stainless look on the F'ed 56 JCW concept... Way too costly to ever make production.

Cool ^^^
I am redoing my Chili Red JCW aero bumper now with Enamel and it is very cool how when I wet sand it down with 2000 and put it out in the sun the heat "self" polishes it.
Today it is a little cold and humid so I can really spay on the clear until later. So I sanded a few orange peel spots and heated them with a heat gun and poof instant polish.
Since I am making the paint perfect I wet sanded the whole thing down again with 2000 and completed the heat gun process again and it worked perfectly. 800 - 1100 degrees works wonders but you have to be very carful and do it in sweeps of you will burn and bubble the paint. Then you have to start all over from the very beginning.-

For the boots. My last time I got out, they where neon green, with white zebra stripes, and Budweiser labels on the toes. They hung so low under the power lines that if a moving van or semi truck went under them, it would slam the top of the box, and wrap them tighter and tighter! Evidently it took a month before Fort Campbell got the power company out there to cut them down!
