JEEBUS CREASED! Every time I park anywhere around Fontana I am swarmed with lookers! I dont mind it at all, but I honestly wasn't expecting this kind of popularity. It is after all a ugly rusty looking MINI!

Thank you to all who have followed my build, and everybody who I have met this week. :)

I just hope you get back home safely...THEN you can kick back and enjoy one of those cigars! I REALLY enjoyed seeing Isobelle as complete gal! It was great seeing you, as well. Don't forget...I SHALL return to MOTD next year and I credit my wife. She told me to never stop going there as long as I still enjoyed it, soooooooo, see ya then!

If it seems like I have abandoned this site and thread, don't worry I haven't! I just have a ton of stuff going on right now, and dont even have much time left to sleep at the end of the day!

Trying to get all the stuff done for the VA, as well as trying to find my not so distant future home really takes it out of a guy...

I will be back to normal when all the dust settles, but for now all I can think about is this place...

    The door logo's meaning:

The Club ([emoji814]) is for the 327th Infantry regiment (1'st Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division)

The 1 is for 1st Battalion

The 4 is for the 4th company (D-co)

And the up and down chevrons around it (^v) are for 5th Platoon

The wings have no meaning, they just make it more MINI

All tying everything to my days in the 101st, in this truck...

I didn't mind putting the fake bullet holes in the driver side door, because my truck collected a few of its own...

Well I got as far as primer on the fenders... Been busting my ass too hard at work, and dont want to do anything but relax on the couch when I get home.

My camping trip this weekend is going to be a well needed break from everything. Got to get out and away from everything for a couple days. ;)

I've been watching this thread for awhile. Frankly, I was similar to someone who posted early on saying that he didn't get it. But, I can see what this is now. A work of art. Incredibly creative. I hope to personally see this piece of work rolling down the highway one day.

Just remember paint does not make a motor run a car, but putting it in the car does.

Yesterday, I picked up a side project to go along with the car...

Any car show goer knows how much crap they regularly haul around the show. Chairs, snacks, adult beverages, or just random stuff brought to or bought at the show...

I spent a few months looking for an old small steel wagon in rebuildable shape, but gave up due to how much people wanted for one, or they were the larger models that wont fit in the back of a MINI. :( Yesterday however, the neighbor down the street set a perfect starting point on the sidewalk with a big cardboard sign that said FREE! So I jumped on it!

Its a 24" basket, with the big balloon tires, but needs a good bit of work... PERFECT!

A custom fabricated tube frame is in order, which I am going to build to brake down into 3 pieces. That way I can stretch the monster truck wheelbase, and drop the basket down into the grass, yet still have it transportable in the car. Everything will be painted to match the Rat-MINI once the fab work is done, and I am going to ditch the monster truck tires for something a bit wider, and with less tread.

Its going to be a fun little project over the winter once I am done with the car, and waiting on parts.

Here is what it looked like...

And it will be turning into something like this...
