You've come a long way from when I first saw the car in early July and it's looking better with each new step! I can't wait to see it at next year's MOTD!

I like the fact that you carried some of the rust to the dash, but those seats are looking a little to new and comfy for a rat rod. Its looking great, cant wait to see it finished.

$89 from ECS (+ shipping to probably bring it right up to 100 ) expensive piece of plastic, but worth it if you need it to bring everything together.

By the way... R56 trailing arms (which Dave will say are OK because they're also on the GP) and R56 JCW rear brakes are also both legit upgrades for the R53. Just sayin'. Not a sin to do those, IMHO.

Thinking of not getting the chrome pieces for the bumpers...
They have paintable black ones, that I could do something a bit different with. ;)
Got to spray a test piece to try it out before I make up my mind though. :)

What about painting the black ones to look like rusty chrome ?

Something along those lines eMINI... ;)

No movie deals yet Dave... I could use the $$$ from one though, it would probably pay for a decent chunk of a proper engine. :D

I would think that they would be thin cheap ABS plastic not urethane.

You will find out soon, get to work and good luck.

Yep, those bumpers have the smallest opening to the radiator for cooling, and that's not going to cut it with me, so removing the plastic where the plate goes was a no brainer. Best part is the grille mesh from the "S" bumper has an open area just big enough to hack it up and fill the hole with OE grille plastic! Now if I can only find the plastic grille for the lower opening I will be set! All I can seem to find is the stainless steel one, which looks funny to me... and they want $60 for it! :confused5:
