You have done a great job Chris. With the rule set for your rallying class you have done an outstanding job!
Now if only you could mod the drivetrain and suspension to no end... That would be great!-

Looks Like lots of hours of fun and determination. You and I are knee deep in the sh^T of our builds. I need to start my build thread here soon!

looks good! what happens if it rains? I ask because I had something similar on an old MG, it rained and the filter got so wet it stopped the air going in and killed the engine until I dried out the filter but it was a K+N so maybe that was the issue.

And it starts...
The blown motor is on its way out of the car, and into the corner this weekend! Might even get the donor motor in if I can work fast enough!-

It should go back together easy... As long as I can find all my nuts. (Unfortunately that is a common problem
) then its just hoping everything else still works!
I should be taking the Porker up to Grand Junction soon to get the ViPEC so I can actually start and drive it!-

It's really not that bad, minus having axle shafts seised into the hubs, the starter is a TOTAL PITA to remove and the shift cables can be a little tricky...
Only took 5 hours with minimal use of air tools, even with the 1/2 hour spent trying to knock the Driver Side axle out.
Too bad it's not like my old Samurai... 1 1/2 hours to remove the complete drivetrain minus the axles! Most of that was spent letting the engine cool down first.-
