About Damn Time. Its going to look great though. Are you going to put the old one on a stand and fully work it over?

I signed up for the Dragon, a couple days ago hope to see you there in the Rat.

I replaced most of the seals and gaskets with it still sitting on your pallet... Some of the sensors where swapped out with my originals, but other than that everything is just the way it was when you shipped it! (Minus the obvious dress ups) :D

Kind of nice to work on the engine, when you can just walk around it, huh?

    Whats the fun in that?

Its kinda like having a transmission that shifts itself, or only using a drive through car wash... No FUN!

Just saw this, and it's a little late but even if you have to crack the trans and motor apart again, do yourself a favor and replace the TO bearing and 'Guide Tube' even if you're not doing the clutch. It's worth it.

You're wrong on Dave not influencing your car--Dave has total control of the rat rod. He had a MINI voodoo doll. It didn't work at first, but he took the engine out of it and it works like a charm. He has complete control over your ride.

Kind of ironic that he had to take the engine out to get it to work but life is weird like that sometime.

I could see him sitting in his kitchen whacking a die cast voodoo MINI with a ball peen hammer, with a crazy eyes Steve Bucimi grin on his face.

Oh well, at least the Porker will be comfortable on the trip. I wasnt really looking foreword to 1300 miles each way in a tiny little race seat locked in with a 5 point harness with no radio. Its not like my ears dont have a constant ring to them without the catless straight exhaust either!

Trying to get the pulley loose the head sheared off the bolt, it must be seised into the crank pretty hard. Was going to pull the motor back out to see if I could drill it, and get the broken half out of the crank.
In the process of doing that the wire harness got snagged on the holder for the shift cables, and when I lowered the hoist it shredded the harness! :(
    FML! Big set back! :(

The header was the standard shorty, until I had to add a couple wideband O2 sensors...
So the guts got knocked out of the cat (with a BFH) and the additional O2 bungs got welded to the shell of the "cat". ;)

I bet you can repair the harness. Just spend a couple of hours with a wire stripper a good soldering iron and some shrink wrap. It'll be cheaper than replacing the whole thing.

Oh - that's disappointing. Before you started messing with it, I thought it was the canopy mount that goes over the electrical box to mount the chandelier to the roof of the car. Too bad - it would have been a nice touch of class for the interior. :yesnod:
