    Nothing wrong with that, honestly.

You were planning on working at Tapoco Lodge?

Yeah, that's a fair bit of money to cough up on an annual basis, even with the lower cost of living (I'm assuming, CO vs. NC).

I'd like to hopefully transition into moving to Asheville in a few years, if I can - we'll see how the new job goes.

    Dick,

finally read thru the entire thread instead of piece by piece (yes, work is that slow)

    question,

what is the significance of the 14 in the club on your door?

and, from the most mechanically disinclined male on the planet who is about as gifted when it comes to working on a car as a pet rock, you sir are amazing. Just seeing the car in person at the C&c a few months back was great, but looking over just all what you did to work on it from the last iteration of the car was mind boggling. my version of mod'ing is to put a sticker on the car lol.

next time we meet, i'll have a beer sticker for you :)

Do not like the mustang...Looks way to fake.

They only did the body panels. I like yours because you did as much as you could.

Dick, I just looked at the website on the rear window, rustypaint.com
It talks about their film that goes over painted surfaces. Looks like it is a wrap to me.
I see that the trim clips are showing at the beltline but this guy must be into details.

That stuff has no 'soul'. It's just vinyl, and lousy looking at best.

Oh, my RX-7... Yeah, I'm not currently working on it, so there are no real pictures yet. Literally all that I have done with it since I towed it home, was find all the dings on the side that isn't stuffed against the wall with Erin one night. She was thought it was funny when I handed her a sharpie and told her to start circling them! 70+ Dings later (just on the driver side) it now looks like a Leopard! [emoji12]

Yep Steve, same car... Still don't like it, and seeing the front makes it worse. [emoji2]

    Oh, No no no!

There is so much you can do with a rotary engine to get scads of horsepower out of it.

Getting this thread back on track...

I decided not to enter the Rat in the British car Conclave this year, well this weekend.

I have too much going on to even think about it, and it's really always the same cars year after year anyway.

So probably next weekend, I will clean it up, and put it on stands in the corner for the winter.

This weekend, its going to be a lot of paint, and a good long day off... Taking Saturday and heading to Aspen with a special young lady... Always got to make time for that! [emoji2]

Loved the pictures from your drive today!

Yeah, its kind of a good thing that Erin got called in to work Saturday. Many benefits to going while most other people are working. [emoji2]

MINI is a German car, that's how I see it. They are built in the UK, but are owned and built by a German car company. My Jetta was built in Mexico, but it's not a Mexican car, it's a German car. I understand the heritage too, and even used to have a classic, an 86 Mayfair, it really was nothing like these new MINI's. Two totally different cars built by two totally different companies. These cars are much more of a BMW than a classic MINI. We took ours to a British car meet once and it was really awkward parking next to gorgeous restored Healeys, MGs, Coopers, Triumphs, and Jags. This is what I believe though and I know most don't, so it's all in good fun.
