Yep I have seen quite a few of those over the years. I dont really see how to tie that into MINIs though.
I did do some experimenting tonight, and found the size of the late '60s STP decals to be the best size. I tried a roll of masking tape in templates from tiny to huge and to me the 5"X3" is it so its going to be big enough to see, but not cover the entire window.![]()

Looking for an R53 GP lower rear bumper facia... Turns out all the black plastic trim on the rear caries right over to the new "mustache" bumper, no modding needed either!
Kinda makes me wonder about how the front lip of the standard S front bumper would look under the mustache... Got more things to check. -

Wait - wut? You mean the GP rear trim fits on the old style front bumper, or ?

No the rear trim fits, I have to check the front to see if it can interchange with the front trim from the S bumper.

Just be double sure to check with Jan before you do it!
He probably will not care, but many people work hard on their logo's and do not like them being altered or infringed upon.
I recently was doing a project for work with one of the major athletic clothing manufacturers and was making a prototype mold.
Logo's aspect ratio was off by ~ 5% (not even noticeable to the eye of a consumer) and they whipped out some calipers, measured it, and told me to do it again.
Granted that is a huge company, but still nice to know you have permission to make your own rendition of it.
(you may have already asked, idk. Just a heads upno idea if he would even care or not haha! )

Jan is cool with it. Dick and many other on the RMW board have already seen these.

I ordered the front bumper lower valance and arch pieces from eMINIparts today! Still got to get a ton of plastic fastener clips, and the chrome trim for everything.
Found the front chrome pieces through a off brand dealer for under $40 for both pieces, but none of them have the big strip for the rear! Looks like I will have to spend the $100 that a new OE one costs.
Works out in a way though because I wont be doing anything with the rear trim, the front on the other hand... Well, what can I say. -

The rear lower apron from the standard "S" or GP bumper fits right onto the mustache bumper...
Just so happens, I have an "S" bumper so all of that trim is already on.I would like to get the GP apron and arches, but with the price they still want for that piece, it can wait.
Not going to be putting a diffuser on it for a couple reasons... Mostly the look of having a diffuser wouldn't look quite right with the car, and I might run into some clearance issues with the exhaust when I redo it. -

Nope, I actually have 13" Wilwoods I need to get rid of. Got to go back to stock brakes to fit the new wheels.

Long, light skinny aluminum TA from an 07 might be available. PM me. Maybe free if they are what you want/need.
