Anybody know what the black trim pieces for these bumpers is made out of? Hard plastic? Bumper urethane?

    HARD ABS plastic.
I found it was easy to cut and shape with a dremel.
I used to custom fit peoples lower aero grills so they would sit flush with the stock OEM S bumper.

    The bumper itself is urethane.

I'm talking the trim pieces that where going to be chrome... The urethane trim like the bottom of the bumper can be a pain to paint because it needs a flex agent which makes it harder to sand out. I am hoping they are the same hard plastic as the chrome pieces with a black coating.

I like the position of the vanity plate, looks like it needs a few lengths of barbed wire to keep it in place.

This one is making it around the web, Dick I thought you might do this engine swap versus the Stroker. :)

Very tempting! There's some "hidden" gems here, as well. Perhaps we will have to do a rotation or two.

So you're using Meth injection, pre-charger style?? What kind of set-up are using, and how hard is it to get it all hooked up? It's looking really nice, mate. I love that pic of the meth hook-up with the rear of the MINI in the background. Looks beast, especially the exhaust. And the contrast of shiny engine+nasty car is striking and, I dare say, pretty. XD

Well the passenger side rear corner of the new2me hood I salvaged sat about 1/4" low, and I wasnt OK with it being that far off... So I had to pull the hinge on that side and cut the mounting holes for the hinge a bit lower in order to raise that corner. When I was reinstalling the hood it slid across the bulge in the cowl... Now it has a 1/8" wide by 2"+ long gouge thats down to the steel... Also not fine by me!

So I am going to have to try to match the rust color, fill it with the paint, blend it with a little candy pearl, and re clear that side of the cowl. Hopefully I can make it barely noticeable, but if it doesn't totally match I am ok with it.

I still haven't heard back from Jan on all the gaskets and stuff I need, and I need them like yesterday! So looks like if I still don't hear from him tomorrow, I will be searching through eMINIparts to get everything ordered.

Any time you want to come up to Thornton, just send me a PM, its not very often that I am away from the house in order to save some more money for the project. :)

Haha. That's a little more like it. XD

Aye, fair enough. When's it going in?

I go up to Denver once a week to see the girlfriend, so in the next month or so (And after I get the MINI), I'll come up to say hello. Hopefully you'll have an engine in, and we could go for a quick spin around town.
