    Told you I dropped the corner of the hood on it, and it slid down the cowl... It will blend back in, its just getting the right amount of flattener in the clear to seal it. ;)

    Actually, the gouge doesn't look like it hit bare metal...looks like your "rat-rust" is all the way down to the bare metal, or are my old eyes playing tricks on me yet again?

    No big picture filled update, that however doesn't mean I am not working stuff out (in my head, on paper, and with the car)...

    The I/C diverter base needs welded before I can continue with that, so I have shifted to designing my custom intake box.

    It is going to be sealed except for the opening in the top for the NACA duct in the hood. :)

    Sourcing an appropriately sized velocity stack for the actual inlet hose was enough to make me a little more NUTS than I already am! I finally found a place that would spin the stack to my specs though so all is good. Only problem being, the company is in Australia! I went ahead and made my order though, and it should be here sooner or later...

    Outside of that its just measuring and making a blueprint of the box. But with no CAD software, I am about as far as I can go without cutting some aluminum for the framing, and some Lexan for the panels so I can measure for the internal pieces to hold a flat panel filter. Then I need to find an off the shelf drop in filter the right size to make it all work!

    If everything works as planned the filter would need to be roughly 6"X8", so if anybody has any ideas, feel free to let me know! ;)
