Fenders are done! And its really starting to look like a car again...

Still need to do the cowl and modified scoop, plus order the damn bumpers... Some of that will be taken care of this weekend. ;)

Its a kill switch to shut the car down from the outside in case of an emergency. (Also makes a decent anti theft device)

I drilled the hole, and welded the bracket on 3 years ago when I planned on keeping with my challenge car clone theme, and just decided to keep it.

Well they only sent the front bumper cover... :(

Not a big problem, because the rear is still coming, and I really don't need it to accomplish this weekends tasks.

There is some custom touches coming to this, but here it is... Right out of the box in all its OE ugliness!

Back in the early days of the R50, these where what most people called the ugliest bumpers MINI came up with... They grow on you though! (Hence the shortage of finding low dollar used take-off's)

Lets hope for an F56 facelift to cure that ugly front end too! :p

Wholly (choose your choice of four ****s) what a day!

Minus the whole "cant use rivets yet" thing, the intake is really taking shape. :D

All the exterior aluminum is done minus a few rivet holes. All but one Lexan panel is done, and even covered in "less than permanent fastening material" and the plastic covering on the Lexan... It looks GOOD! :)

It was back to work on the air box for a little while today. I polished everything I had cut, and assembled the top panel at least.

Now I need to cut the mounting rails for the filter plate before I can go any further. Probably do that one day this week at work so I have something to do over the long weekend.

I also took the Porker down to Erik&Teresa's for a while to hang out and shoot the bull. Dragon planning season is here! :)

The magnet seals the water out... Read the above posts.

Adding a scoop to a scoop is like adding splinters to toilet paper!

So to try and pull my thread back on topic...

My Dragon tires came today... They wont have this much tread for long!

Kept with the 215/45/17 since I was on that size when I set the suspension up, but this is better than the 50 treadwear on the NT-01's...
