Its hopefully not going to be your "average" size of upgrade either... Got to get this pice of Shi.... Sprintex out of here first!
Surprise! The rear bumper cover is here! No tracking number or shipment notification, but it showed up...
I get to get a little jump on the weekend... Work let us go a couple hours early, so... Time to start masking stuff off! If I am lucky, the first stages of the candy coats will be going on around midnight! (Yes you read that right, I will be working late in an attempt to get this project done!)
Sponge bath number one (of until white rags stay white) down... Waiting time, its raining so it should suck the water out of the panel gaps a little quicker.
Just got the last candy color on about a half hour ago. Cant stop changing the lights around in the garage looking at it...
Done spraying for the day... Got to let it dry for a few hours before I can start knocking this layer of heavy candies down in preparation for the final matte clear! I will take some pics as soon as everything sets.
I saw this sign at the Good Guys Heartland Nationals today. It reminded me of someone around here … :biggrin5:
Inspiration? This was one of the best cars I found at the Good Guys Heartland Nationals today (appropriately next to the Nutty Bar stand). On the outside, I particularly liked the use of barbed wire to replace the chrome trim under the windows and for the front bumper (rusty, but flattened against the body for pedestrian safety). Inside, my favorite thing was the exposed knob-and-tube wiring with screw-in fuses - plus the handicapped restroom door switch that was was attached to solenoids to pop open the doors.
