No update yet... But, a friend of mine spotted my copycat at MTTS in Grand Junction... Thoughts? Thanks to Kristan (the Eyeshades girl) for the pic.:beer
Thats one of the thoughts I had! Just a big roach legs up strapped to a cargo rack... Also would have done a bright green wrap instead of the blue with more age to all of it! Oh wait... Did I just say "wrap" in context of applying vinyl over the entire car... I fire myself!
Sorry, but this one doesn't have the heart and soul of Isobell. It looks like a weekend project to me. And if it's a few rattle-can squirts on vinyl, where's the commitment? :nonod:
Is it making the whole trip or just showing up locally? If it makes it to Chicago-Cleveland-Pittsburgh I'll take a couple of shots and give you my opinion.
I appreciate it. I was going to take a couple days off and go to Grand Junction for the stop here, work said otherwise though. Got 4 WaterMill units going out this week! (One Monday, one yesterday, and 2 on Friday) It takes pretty much everybody on the production floor to load them, so I had to stay. At least we are starting to move the new 5000 series units out, I have built 13 of them so far this year, and Friday will make 5 that have actually shipped! Now with the precast concrete forms being straight and not having to spend a week just cutting and filling the concrete before I can do any of the actual finishing, I can do everything thats got to be done on my end in less than 30 hours start to finish... They are going to run out of space real quick.
My day job... This is what I do for a living... Its right about 40,000 pounds of concrete formed into one big Ice and drinking water dispenser.
So back onto the topic of Isobell... I have been thinking about making some of the popular old hot rod sponsor decals new again. Keeping with the whole rusty old speed shop car theme, it fits having the decals on the rear side glass. Cant have old parts manufacturer logos on a modern car they don't make parts for, so why not make the new shop/manufacturer logos look like the ones from the hot rod age? I played around with the idea a bit, and actually really like the one I started drafting up! There will be a few more that I will have to redesign but heres the first prototype logo...
