About Damn Time. Its going to look great though. Are you going to put the old one on a stand and fully work it over?

I signed up for the Dragon, a couple days ago hope to see you there in the Rat.

I replaced most of the seals and gaskets with it still sitting on your pallet... Some of the sensors where swapped out with my originals, but other than that everything is just the way it was when you shipped it! (Minus the obvious dress ups) :D

Got to do a little after work...

Tranny and engine are now connected and using my original clutch/pressure plate/flywheel... Not enough extra $$$ to get a new one, so it will have to do. Clutch disk has a little left to it, and it wasnt slipping when the rod bearing carped out, so I trust it for a little while.

Oil filter housing/heat exchanger is installed.

Decided to put the starter on before putting the engine back. (Just because it was such a pain to get out.)

Reusing my original oil pan, with new gasket. That will go on with the engine hanging in place.

Cam sensor swapped with my original and new O-ring.

Water temp sensor replaced with my original.

    New idler pulley installed.

And some other stuff I probably forgot to mention. :)

Kind of nice to work on the engine, when you can just walk around it, huh?

    Nope.

The best way to do it is to have someone else do it.

    Whats the fun in that?

Its kinda like having a transmission that shifts itself, or only using a drive through car wash... No FUN!

To bad we don't all live in Dinver. If we did we could all come over and have a engine install day.

Just saw this, and it's a little late but even if you have to crack the trans and motor apart again, do yourself a favor and replace the TO bearing and 'Guide Tube' even if you're not doing the clutch. It's worth it.

Sleek Motoring gets to see the Rat-MINI tonight! Too bad I cant push it out in the sun. :(

The "snow" we got last night, turned out to just be a couple water spots on the already filthy Porker... 50ish degrees and not a cloud in sight for most of the day! :)

Looks like all of Dave.0's nagging and pissing me off has worked out good for him...

Ran into some problems, and unfortunately there is NO WAY for me to get the Rat-MINI done before April. :cryin:

So it looks like I will be rolling into Fontana in the Porker this year.

Thanks Dave, all your pointless nagging about a car you have no control over, to the point where I don't want to work on it has paid off!
