Only tent I am taking barely fits ME! :p And it will be used a couple times this year because I cant just hide from the thunderstorm in the back of the Jeep this year... When your hard topped Jeep starts leaking on your face in the middle of the night, and the wind is throwing your 6000 pound vehicle around, you know you are at the Dragon!

Sounds like a good time to me! I'm really hoping to come down next year.

A couple more edited pic's... Still fighting with the colors on the desktop though. :frown5: Three of them are the same pic, taken out back of Sleek Motoring... in the daylight! :cornut:

I like number three's edit best. A tad hazy, but still looks A-OK.

Crop number two, or use that same technique you used in 1 and shoot the same shot as in two. You lose quite a bit of detail when you washout the color like in 1 and 4, especially from a low angle shot. A full side shot with that technique like picture 2 might work. If you car was a solid color, the low angle would work, but you lose all the variations in color that look so cool with a low angle washed out shot. Three on the other hand is too bright. Just my 2 cents. No, wait, that was actually 3 cents.

The loss of color in the #1 (my favorite) and #4 shots was intentional, but yeah I am way out of practice! Got to figure 99% of the pics I have posted in this thread where shot from a few feet away with an iPhone! :)

I like the wash out effect in number one, it looks just right, it's just the angle that I'd change so you don't lose so much detail. With a higher shot that technique might be FTW.

I will go back through all the pics I have taken, and see if I have a proof to edit with your suggested angle tomorrow... Cant do much else in this April snow/rain mix we've had here all day...

Now the news stations are calling for more crud next Friday... What a nice start to my vacation that will be! :(

Yeah, this snow/slush in Monument sucks. We have a few inches of SUPER wet and heavy snow. Tugs Joni all over the road.

So what's the plan to block off your NACA intake? Seems pretty difficult to keep rain and snow out of there....

Well most of the time the garage will keep the water out, but if I am out somewhere (like MITM or MOTD) a magnetic sheet stuck to the hood, and pull the top off of the air box will keep it drivable. ;)

Got to meet Dick, Isobell, and the rest of MINI5280 today. I can truly say that this is one hot Rat Rod.

And it was great to get to be a part of the physical MINI community. Thanks for the invite, Dick. :)

Not a problem Tristan... Got to get you into the clubs!

I know you cant do the Dragon this year, but the Wyoming club (MINICOW) is doing a run up to the Black Hills of South Dakota over Memorial day weekend... You can still get in on that one. ;) I would go, and still might (in the Porker) but its pretty close to when I get back with an empty bank account. :( It would be a good "practice" trip for you and the GF. :)

Yeah, I can't afford that much time off of work.... But I'll be getting in as much as possible on the club drives. :)

What is this thread for, if not derailing?? :D Anything new in your world? Order a throttle body yet? Personally I like the WAaa-aaaaa-WAaa-aaaa of your current idle. :cornut:

And I can tell you right now that the gf will not be accompanying me at the Dragon, and probably not on a lot more of club drives. Not really her thing. And stepping on the gas and cornering at anything higher then 0.12 g is too much for her.

You are coming to the dragon? I will have to abuse you in person?
    The horror.

Its hard to believe, that by the end of the week, my passenger mirror cap will return to the Dragon... Only this time its not going to be rolling around in the back of a Jeep! :)
