I also stopped this morning on my way out - but it was after Dick had been yanked out of his precarious situation. I came up on the corner and saw the skidmarks, then saw him sitting there - didn't take much to put two and two together. No idea who that GP owner was, but shame on him for running away from a situation he helped create.
Yep you did, that was after I was pulled out.... Still stopped and stuck my beer sticker to the state line... (The highest, and right net to last years) Theres no sense in b1!#ing about the GP owner. Things coulda been worse, and we both need to improve where we both went wrong.
I mean, yeah... we should all drive 5 MPH on the dragon and be safe and prudent. Or something like that. I don't understand why you'd park anywhere on that road, especially a corner as blind as that one was.
Geeze, Dick, what a scary situation! I'm sure glad you and Isobelle are OK! While the Dragon loves to bite back whenever it can, it sure does not need any "help" from a guy who didn't even stop. Safe[r] travels home, my friend.
I couldn't get the pics to load, but that sounds rough! I'm glad you two are ok though, sir! Now get back home to Colorado and try not to spin it on any corners on your way here, eh? Your front splitter's still out there, wandering some back roads, wondering why you left it. Haha.
Glad to hear you and the car are ok. When I 1st looked at that pic I thought the front end was up against a tree and this was going to be a horror story.. Here are a couple of shots I got of your car while parked at Fontana.
Yeah, those skidmarks are gonna be there for a while! They where like a good thick rubber coating across the asphalt. Still wish I would have laid down under the rear tire hanging in the air and got a pic of that!
Yep just got that on my FB feed. I have to baby the car home, I have a couple issues... Missing bolts for the BPV and ate another S/C belt... But it will make it! Stopped for the night with Erik, Teresa, and Christie. I am numb and shaking just from the drive today.
I will be sitting on the back deck enjoying one of your stogies tomorrow night Jeff. It was great seeing you again.
And here I was thinking you trailered Isobell from Colorado. Hats off to you sir, dealing with that deafening exhaust on that drive. Damn.
I just hope you get back home safely...THEN you can kick back and enjoy one of those cigars! I REALLY enjoyed seeing Isobelle as complete gal! It was great seeing you, as well. Don't forget...I SHALL return to MOTD next year and I credit my wife. She told me to never stop going there as long as I still enjoyed it, soooooooo, see ya then!
Woah those were your skidmarks, I saw them on Sunday heading out. Yikes, glad you're OK. I saw your car in the vendor area. Jan was trying diligently to tune it. Was he able to get it idling smoother?
