Yeah, those where my stripes. Jan just had to do a little work because of the higher boost at low altitude. He did also change the idle as much as he could, but the throttle body is the problem with that. I need to get a new one as soon as I can. Also had to limp the car back home... Yesterday the bolts all came out of the bypass valve, and I couldnt find any at the hardware store that would thread in. So it was just keep out of boost, and keep an eye on the AFR's. Then this morning, I popped the hood and found the S/C belt lost a rib again! So it was a crappy drive back, but we made it in one piece, and I have stuff to work on this weekend.
Glad to see your ABS is working with those massive Wilwood brakes while you were only going 30 mph.
Best of luck getting the car put back together and running better than ever. We didn't have time to meet at MOTD but let me know if you need any help.
ABS... You mean its more than a light on the dash? Yeah, 30 MPH is hard to slow down from when the car only weighs 2400 pounds.
Theres always next year! But I wont be driving the Rat out there, it will either be on a trailer, or I will bring the Porker. 1300 Highway miles each way in the Rat is no fun at all, I will be hurtin for a while!
Made the weekly pics on pretty much all the photography sites at the Dragon! I'm in the running for free stuff on US 129 Photos site, so go vote for me!
Editing pic's from the Dragon, and my other pitstops... They will come in slowly! Not sure what one of these I like more...
The top two: too much background, not enough car. The bottom two: too much car, not enough background. I really like the lighting/effects of the third shot though. Some shots done like those you showed before the dragon, give of some of those!
Some cars look better with out photo edits. :ihih: Just post the pictures without and silly Disney effects.
I took a lot of close up's and lower/back lit pics at my adopted dad's place my last night in TN... I will see what I can come up with tomorrow between all this paperwork.
I think you need to show off that stone chip on the bonnet that you got on the way to NC that you showed me at MOTD last Wed....just so people know how observant you are to Isobell's beauty! A REAL OCD guy notices these things....even a Ratrod owner!
Heres a few for the night... Different versions... (Hey I play with them until they look like they do in my head... Yeah it can be a pretty effed up place sometimes)
Just for a little fun, here is what I do with a simple editing program... Here's the original pic... Turned into this... Then I took away some colors, and letterbox formatted the image... And then started adding effects... Now this one is just a cool free plug for MINI5280 and Killboy... Adding a little blur, could make or kill the pic... (I still like this one)
