Dick, someone posted a question about your car on LXM, I linked this thread, so be nice if she shows up!
I always have been more into shooting pic's for artwork... So I will take that as a compliment Zillon. Part of it is the camera I was using SUCKS, and my car is near impossible to get good shots of! The way it changes colors and throws the light is horrible on camera! CCT bring her on... I like to think of myself as a nice guy... Just dont get on my bad side.
A few more edits from TN... Or edited into a low color... This one is just kind of a cool angle. A little more effect... And a low color... (Dont know why I like near black&white pic's these days) These ones are just waiting to be hanging on a wall!
I've never even thought about selling my pic's, I just do it because I enjoy it! Its like when Colin asked me at Fontana "You just let people go up and touch your car, and your ok with it?" Heck yes I am! I decided to do this paint job because it would put my painting abilities to the test, and I wanted to share it with everybody... If that means people have to see it with their hands in order to get a full appreciation of the work that went into it, then so be it!
Dammit Dick, the first shot would have been perfect, just needs more MINI. I've got a fever, and the only prescription is...
I have plenty more where that one came from... Haven't even dug into the ones taken with my phone yet! And yes, you can take good pic's with a phone... Like the ones I took this morning... These are not edited!
It's pretty interesting... I immediately walked up to it and started touching it. I didn't ask first, and I would never even THINK of doing that to most people's cars (e.g. Dave.O) There's just something about it that requires it to be a tactile, as well as visual, experience.
The best photo of Isobell would be following it through the twisty's with the one-ball rolling fireballs when Dick rev-matches on a downshift.....a personal experience!
I've got shots of it embedded in my brain from when we were running 129 before the shortcut turn-off. Jerry and I were laughing out loud every time it shot a fireball !
If it seems like I have abandoned this site and thread, don't worry I haven't! I just have a ton of stuff going on right now, and dont even have much time left to sleep at the end of the day! Trying to get all the stuff done for the VA, as well as trying to find my not so distant future home really takes it out of a guy... I will be back to normal when all the dust settles, but for now all I can think about is this place...
