Thanks Don, that shoot was a hit! Nice to slow down and have a club activity that you're not stuck behind the wheel... I'm waiting on Jim to get all of the ones he took up before I do those... Zillon, its kinda stalled out. Pretty sure the house I wanted sold, and what Tapoco was going to pay me wasn't going to fly. I turned down a job with CAT in Tacoa GA, and right now I am reevaluating my situation. When the CEO of the company tells you "We're going to do whatever it takes to get you to stay" thats not a bad thing.
Working at Tapoco was the plan Zillon, they offered the job, but it would come with a $4.00 an hour pay cut.
Yeah, that's a fair bit of money to cough up on an annual basis, even with the lower cost of living (I'm assuming, CO vs. NC). I'd like to hopefully transition into moving to Asheville in a few years, if I can - we'll see how the new job goes.
Its about the best one I've been able to take! (New garage image!) slowly I will clean up my garage space here, its been out of date for a couple years now!
Dick, finally read thru the entire thread instead of piece by piece (yes, work is that slow) question, what is the significance of the 14 in the club on your door? and, from the most mechanically disinclined male on the planet who is about as gifted when it comes to working on a car as a pet rock, you sir are amazing. Just seeing the car in person at the C&c a few months back was great, but looking over just all what you did to work on it from the last iteration of the car was mind boggling. my version of mod'ing is to put a sticker on the car lol. next time we meet, i'll have a beer sticker for you
The door logo's meaning: The Club () is for the 327th Infantry regiment (1'st Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division) The 1 is for 1st Battalion The 4 is for the 4th company (D-co) And the up and down chevrons around it (^v) are for 5th Platoon The wings have no meaning, they just make it more MINI All tying everything to my days in the 101st, in this truck... I didn't mind putting the fake bullet holes in the driver side door, because my truck collected a few of its own...
The car had its chance to get dents plummeting down the ravine at the Dragon, but it wasn't having it... Just sayin...
you've been livin on the edge then...fighting your way thru all that sand, only to get knocked around by some Dragon's breath....:ihih:
I know the plastic parts don't rust but they look out of place on it. They need to be atleast dirty....
