Oh, my RX-7... Yeah, I'm not currently working on it, so there are no real pictures yet. Literally all that I have done with it since I towed it home, was find all the dings on the side that isn't stuffed against the wall with Erin one night. She was thought it was funny when I handed her a sharpie and told her to start circling them! 70+ Dings later (just on the driver side) it now looks like a Leopard! Yep Steve, same car... Still don't like it, and seeing the front makes it worse.
Its from 26 years of being used... I will probably start a project thread when the actual work starts, but don't expect much... If you thought this thread/build took forever to get where it is, you haven't seen nothin yet!
Not likely its going to be a complete disassemble resto mod project... I'm thinking at a minimum 5 years to complete... Then I might get a custom license plate that reads: 20K-0B0, and wait for an offer!
He can go play with his own crap... After everything he started on RMW when I posted about the 7, I'm glad Nathan permanently banned him from here! He really is a grade-A A-HOLE!
I've always wanted a Rotus, a Lotus Seven with a Mazda RX7 engine in it. It could have the power to weight ratio of a super bike.
Or better... A 13-B-T is only right around 200 pounds complete... Add that to a car that weighs next to nothing, and you get... Well FAST! Since we are talking about the 7 in the Rat's thread, I should go and create a project thread for it... I was going to wait until after the 20th when the Rat goes back under storage insurance and gets tucked into the corner for the winter.
Getting this thread back on track... I decided not to enter the Rat in the British car Conclave this year, well this weekend. I have too much going on to even think about it, and it's really always the same cars year after year anyway. So probably next weekend, I will clean it up, and put it on stands in the corner for the winter. This weekend, its going to be a lot of paint, and a good long day off... Taking Saturday and heading to Aspen with a special young lady... Always got to make time for that!
Plans have changed... Paint all weekend, and Aspen on Monday! Was able to snag a much needed day off of the day job, when she got called into work on Saturday.
Much better on Monday, less traffic and you can go up to some special areas around Aspen. Enjoy, it was great today on Peak to Peak.
