Contrary to what has been posted, M/A has been a very civil place for a long time. It is only recently that the negative posting has started, as some new folks found their way here. Up until now, Dave O. was the only ass hole we had to contend with and very few folks would rise to his comments, so he was not much of a problem.

I agree with Lotise, simply leave, if M/A is not the place for you. Most of us like it the way it has been running.

I'll jump on Dave's bandwagon a bit here. We all need to wear our bigboy pants pretty much everyday. Maybe more so on the internet, simply due to the fact people can and do talk crap that they'd never say to ones face.

Having said that, there isn't any reason to jump all into someones stuff simply because you don't like what they've done to their car. If you don't like it, move on. There's absolutely no reason to post anything. Not everyone here wants a 200hp MINI. Not everyone wants cute little pink hearts on their MINI (BTW, Elaine/Steve are personal friends and I mean no ill will with that statement) and not everybody wants a white MINI coupe so low it wouldn't clear an ant. (I loved that car at the Dragon last year too!). If you don't like something why post in the thread. Like Dave said Shut the F up and move on!

If you like the bickering stay on the sewing site. I've never figured out why people feel the need to dog out other people stuff. You know dang well those people would never walk past someone at the Dragon and say that someones wheel choice sucks or that they were stupid for doing a certain mod. But seems it's fair game on the net.

I've moderated several sites over the years. A couple of pretty big ones. I applaud Nathan for all his hard work and I'll back him up whenever needed. If you want to act like they do at the other site I'd expect the same reactions. I've never had an issue banning someone.

Now back to the fun!

And now you got me going,,, if it takes being a bigger prick then the last guy that posted, regardless of the topic, on a car site, and you truthfully believe that elevates you to some kind of standing, please take your sorry ass for a reason to argue elsewhere...

 

Since little mr. JCrickets started crying about his MINI in the MINI of the Month thread and it was shut down because he got his butt hurt for talking BS yet again and could not take the back lash thats why.

Then Nathan had to post his lighter fluid on fire Open letter about the long rough Winter and this is where we are. Threads on websites are just like your radio, if you dont like want is playing move along to another station or thread. The internet and this web fourm is NOT all about ONE PERSON.

As for ME, yes you do need people like me on here or you would all be talking about (1) Minis color of the month, (2) which glass cleaner is best, (3) what color washer fluid do you use, and the ever popular (4) 89 octane or 93 octane.

This is a web fourm which is a place where all kinds of people can join, monetary support if the wish, and chat about a something in common like a car. Most people sign up for FREE and help no oneelse and contribute nothing but BS in every post they make.

People are like cars and they come in all differnt colors, sizes and styles and if you cant deal with that maybe you should not be on the Internet or driving a car for that matter.

Just so you ALL know I am not the kind of person that is just going to take BS pot shots from people and not reply back. Thats not how my father raised me, he raised a man not a P****Y / wimp.

I will not and Do Not cry to Nathan and ask for anyones post or a thread to be moderated. I wear big boys pants and I can take what I dish out.

If you call me out I will be more than happy to step right up to the challange. Win or loose I don't care because I do not hide behind a keyboard on the internet.

(1) Chili Red is the Best MINI color
(2) Use Blue washer fluid
(3) Prima Clarity or Windex original glass cleaner
(4) Use grade 93 Octane fuel in MINI.

 

Humans are all built different. From their brain to their mouth, figuratively speaking, most have, in some order, a catalytic converter, a resonator, and either one muffler or twin cans; this keep most of us tolerably quiet.

Some humans may be missing either the Cat, the resonator, or the muffler. They are a bit louder.

Dave is missing all three. He is essentially setup as a straight pipe from the engine to the tailpipe.

Sometimes, the noise is loud, and overwhelming. Some people would do better with earplugs to take the edge off. Others get used to the noise, and even welcome it.

So if it bothers you, put the plugs in to save your hearing (and sanity). If it doesn't , roll with it.

I think EVERYONE needs to stop being so uptight about every little thing that is posted on the M/A or the Internet.

If you can't take the heat on the internet maybe the internet is not for you.

Instead of crying and posting about everything just look I the mirror at the real problem.

I stay out of most everything, but some people just piss me off to where I want to step in. I can think of one guy that does this the most to me and others... (No its not our resident ass hole, Dave O) its the guy that starts crying and complaining the second somebody dis agrees with him. The guy who feels that it is ok for him to make a few short jabs in somebody's direction, then cant take it when jabs are returned. The guy who does everything he can to try and derail whatever thread he wants, just because it is about a tuner or products that he does not support...

That guy should be shown the door. Maybe after being forced over to places like MT, and being torn apart by a mob of blood thirsty foreigners, he will man up and realize his **** smells just as bad as everybody else in the world.

I for one would love a punch out "Playground" thread with no rules. Just to go and vent, and to finally call out the BS as I see it. Problem is that is where I would spend 99% of my time, and I couldn't inject myself into anybody else's perfectly good threads anymore.

Do people want tissues for their issues? Are we mice or are we men/women? I think myself a martian to be honest. Look im tired of the fake outrage and "GOLLY GEE WILIKERS" moments...i know alot of people on this forum in person from different events and so on...im like this in person as well as online...so lets drop the act...do you all realize the more you try to NOT be like NAM...the more you become something worse....stop censoring people and let them have it out...which is why i still maintain there needs to be a section where people can go and hash it out...they keep it there and out of the main forum's...and if a thread gets out of control...move it to that section...i belong to a couple of forum's that do just that and it seems to go well and doesnt lead to every single damn thread being locked because certain people who get butthurt go screaming MOMMMYYYY HEEE IS BEEEING A BULLLYYYYY.... how about if you treat people like adults and let them work their issues out instead of people flying in and locking threads which make people resentful and the next time they get a chance get twice as vicious...

Thick skin is required for life in general, we cant be civil all the time...its not in human dna...there is a reason why people conflict with each other its just the natural course we take...by and large people do get along but there are times where you just have to have it out or people will build resentment against everyone and will snap at them for no reason...

Respect is earned not implied...we sit here and DEMAND RESPECT...that is not how you get it...you want my respect?? EARN IT...i could care less if you respect me or not im going to continue on doing what i have been doing... we act more like kids when we sit here crying and complaining about people not respecting others...

Did anyone consider that some are doing this for attention...if you dont pay them mind chances are they stop when they realize no one is listening?
