    When exiting the interstate I do that going down, 6-4-2.

    I do the "economy shift" when I'm not feeling frisky too. I've also started to not use the clutch to go to neutral while in 4th, 5th, or 6th gear. It will effortlessly slip out of gear at around 1000rpm when coasting to a stop. I've gotta give my ultra tough plastic throwout bearing a break!

    Your transmission your call. For me I'll go to the trouble of using the clutch. I've had old beaters that I shifted clutchless & gotten quite good at it. Can't bring myself to do that on my MINI.

    I kind of noticed the it by accident one day. During the operation I described, I can just barely push on the shifter and it will fall right outta gear.

    Ha, I absolutely won't do it when I'm upshifting. I think I saw some youtube video of a guy in an R53 trying to demonstrate clutchless shifting while moving upward through the gears. Lots of gear grinding:cryin:
