Forget it, I wanted a Black Amethyst Metallic with a Red roof. They won't let me do it. Jag, you just lost a sale!

The article mentions "Petrol powered" a couple of times. What else would it be? Diesel. maybe coal?:incazzato:

Unfortunately Jaguar lost their sporting heritage long ago with the end of the E type.... Hope they can look backwards and see what they've been missing all these years.... I'm sure Porsche is worried....

FWIW, here's the C-X16 concept they say the F-type is based on.

"Speaking in New York this week, Jaguar brand director Adrian Hallmark stated, “We showed the C-X16 concept in September 2011, and the reaction to it has been so positive that we've accelerated our development of an all-new Jaguar sports car.â€
Jaguar also revealed that the F-Type’s development schedule moves to final on-road testing, with engineering prototypes now leaving the automaker's Castle Bromwich plant in the UK--the same plant at which the production cars will be built." -

Well, I still don't see what would differentiate the "F" type from and XK.

I don't see it either. FWIW, Motor Autority's attempt to describe/explain can be found in these 2 related stories. Not a lot of help but it sounds like it might actually be a bit more than just an F-Type variant of an XK.

Makes sense now. The "F" should be smaller then the XK.
