Wow, very impressive. If I have any Scottish descendants, they are farther back than I've been able to go.
LOL. I wanted a username that described me without sounding too off-putting. I'm known to be a bit eccentric. And "dame" would be the slang usage here. I was looking for something other than woman/lady. But yes, in general I tend to be easy going and respectful.

:cornut: My Mother(Anne McDonald Granger Sutherland) was born(1922) and raised in Edinburgh Scotland, UK. Her Dad ( Marcus Gunn Sutherland) was born on a croft just outside of Wick Scotland in 1870. He served in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders from 1894-1919 and retired as the Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant(2nd ranking Sergeant Major of the regiment) after serving in India, Afghanistan, the Boer War, and WWI. He is the 3rd generation of 6 generations of combat veterans in the family.
You sound more like a Nice Lady than a Peculiar Dame. The 'Dame', is that a UK title or American slang?
