OK, here is the discussion thread. Where to in Jan? Sushi and other Japanese goodies at Haiku at the corner of Hubbard and High?
I agree with you Mark. Cavemen invented fire for a reason and cooking food was one of them. Jim
And when "Justa Forgot" let the embers grow cold in the fire pit.... Justa Forgot was chewin on raw fish..... (Wait for it).... Just for the Halibut....
I'm up for trying some place new. I don't do sushi or anything fish, but I checked the menu and I'm sure I can find something to eat. How's the parking and seating situation at the restaurant?
I've not been to Haiku, but I can say Lemongrass just south down the street a bit has always been a favorite if you are looking at options.
Parking sucks, it is the Short North after all. The big parking lot they had across the street from them is now a construction site. However, it's only about 2 blocks from the shop where we do some Saturday things like installing splitters. We could probably get away with parking there. Then again, I'll just walk so no parking issue for me.
Heh Heh, Looks like them High Coo folks knows the locals. I see that they gots battered and fried chicken. I will survive.
For those of us that have not been to Chuck's place can you provide an address so we can park in safety?
I'm out for dinner. Wednesday is my first day back in the office since 12/20 and I've got some serious catching up to do.
There is a lot at haiku but if it is full then the shop is just a short 2.5 block walk away at 840 Kerr St. Kerr is not plowed and there is little traffic on that end of the street. Be careful
^^^^ Yep, they won't plow them nice brick roads...makes it a pain in the a__ getting around down there.
As you know Babs & I stayed home & baked some yummy fish & veggies here. Just wondering how the place you guys went was?
