A train air horn in a MINI??? Are you kidding me? That's nucking futs, and deserves my vote for that alone! Now, make the compressor removable for track days...
You'd be hard pressed to find a better conditioned '03 than nabeshin's MINI. Even more amazing is that it's a daily driver living in the brutal upper-Midwestern climes (with which I am fully empathetic). Here's one vote for the cherry EB/W. :cornut:
As someone who owns a Pepper White MINI named 'Jango' with bronze wheels, I wonder who I'm gonna pick... It's tough, though... I'm also a fan of the air-horn mod!
Thanks for the vote and good words, Gil-galad, and thanks to anyone else who voted/will vote for my MINI. My MINI has been a daily driver for 7 years now. I've driven every winter, 8th one, & in all other weather conditions, done a few autocross, and gone on 3 different road trips to the Appalachian twisties, not to mention countless trips to Kansas City or Omaha. I will post up additional images and more information later. In the meantime, I'll be happy to field any questions about my car.
That wasn't always me.. often tho.. Anyways, wanted to post a pic of what ive been up to recently.. KoPa S went 'under the knife' earlier this week for some elective surgery. Id like to thank Kreative Rodworks of Phoenix, AZ for the full use of their shop and expertise.. and my boss, Phil of BSH for being understanding to my passion of 'improving rather than reinventing the wheel' Many more pictures to come when she returns home next week.. shes up for one of the fastest recoveries from such an operation, actually, I don't believe that anyone has performed this operation before :eek6:
Can we post some newer shots of our cars? Thanks for the votes guys And thanks to whoever nominated it!
Gotta ask, then... what is the dB output, and is it even possible to sit in the passenger cabin when that thing is fired up?
Haven't gotten a dB rating yet.. its surpringly quiet IN the cabin.. but outside, Theres a switch on my dash so stock horns only can be used.. train horns are for very rare situations opcorn:
I've added some more images to my garage, like this one, take a look. Here is a good shot of my interior. I like the stock look, so I have done little to change the interior. I also kept the exterior very understated. I've tried to bring in more black accents, such as the grill, side repeaters, and trunk handle. Not sure if I'll black out the belt line, door handles, or gas cap. A touch of chrome completes the look and is a prominent carry-over from the classic.
