    I went to my local MINI dealer and had a quick conversation with one of their techs. He mentioned that there isn't any threads, hence why the screws are self taping. Just have to finesse it a bit since it is CF. Phewwwww :Thumbsup:

    Do you mean the grill inside the scoop?

    Some of us here just leave that out for a more open look. I manually cut and shaped mine to open it up a bit using a dremmel and drill.

    Or you could try one of these, though full disclosure, I haven't tried one.

    I may have to leave it open since the grill inside the scoop doesn't fit correctly anyways. Just wondering if that's normal?

    They always seem to look better left out. But it's a matter of personal taste. You've got a great look'n JCW there!
