Yep, as far as I know.

Standard problems, sorry.

So, when do these problems happen? I know people with close to 200K on original engine and no issues. However, I do plan to service SC and WP at around 100K (maybe sooner) which is another 50K.
So far for my car has had no issues - even after many bolt-on mods (Complete Madness performance II package).
Any alternative advice or opinion?
2006 R52, 46K miles.

Thanks for the info. Is the timing chain issue a recall or does there have to be a problem?

I do not believe it was a recall.

One I am looking at is in cincy. The other is in Salt Lake. I'll get the vins and have them checked. Thanks

I was told that there is no official recall, but rather it is a service campaign. Mini doesn't know which motors are affected, as the motors are sourced from Peugeot, who unfortunately can't determine which motors are affected either.
My car was caught early at 28K miles. Only the bolt and tensioner were replaced- the chain was fine. -

I had mini check the VINs. The one in Cincy is good to go. The one in Salt Lake is a salvage title.
