In that case, trade it in for an R53. Put the JCW exhaust on that one. Then all is good.

Not much more necessarily, but well worth the exchange. It seemed to deepen the tone on my R53 to where I could hear the exhaust at a Db level
I enjoy hearing. Have your muffler guy leave out the resonator and you'll be delighted with the outcome.-

One thing I miss about my Mini is the great music the Millteck made, with and without the RMW street header!!

The JCW is a nice upgrade over OEM if you can get one on the cheap. One thing most people do is have a shop take out the pipe pinch where it "Y's " in the back or increase the flow.
If a JCW it's not cheap buy a Millteck and you will be very happy for a long time. -

The real answer no matter what gen Mini is the JCW is not that bunch louder then the stock exhaust. Millteck would flow better and sound a little louder but in a good way. (Not rice, with no drown)
All the above exhaust do not drown. -
Milltek sounds really sweet and noise level inside is moderate.

+1 on the Milltek--I have the JCW twin cans on my R53, and I like them, but I do like the Milltek better. On the R53, the Milltek is 2.5 inches, at the split, compared to 2.25 for the JCW, not sure if there are any diameter differences on the R56 exhaust but someone else will chime in.
