51-11-0-404-109 Will not work on your MINI, it is for a 2nd Generation MINI.

    The Bumper Cover is 51-11-0-145-744

If buying new you will also need the various grills and stuff that attach to it.

The site RealOEM will be your friend. RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog You can put in the last 6 characters of your VIN and get the stuff your car came with from the factory.

    thank you!!

Awesome break-out. Thank you very much. That RealOEM site looks like a great source for all sorts of parts.
Sicne this is technically a "salvage" vehicle, does it seem "worth it" to stick with OEM parts, or are there some aftermarket parts that have proven successful? I don't mind at all "testing" some aftermarket cowlings/bumper parts and posting the results.
I have a reasonable amount of experience fabricating in both metals and composites, so don't see it as too much of an ordeal. The only issue I seem to have is getting a straight answer from the marketers of some of these. For instance, one bumper I found is called the "vader" and looks pretty cool and I am more than willing to try it but can't seem to get straight information from the folks selling it. For instance, they are stating in some places in thier literature, it is FRP and in other places "fiberglass." My experience is those are two very differnt materials and are worked in very different ways. FRP is industry standard designation (to my knowledge anyways) for Fiber Reinforced Polymer, very different from traditional fiberglass and polyester resin layup. I just want to know what I am in for.
Anyone have any experience with the "vader" front end? Thanks!
