As for drone, I echo what's been said: If you think you like drone, then you've never actually heard drone. It's unbearable; I've yet to find a single person who enjoys it. 15 minutes of it on the highway and you're ready to drive into the nearest guardrail at the highest possible speed.

Like many things on eBay, that sounds good.... In theory.
Yes, that's sort of the concept. The way you actually do that is have a GOOD ENGINEERED full exhaust (like OEM or JCW or Miltek) and an additional ENGINEERED shorter route that bypasses something (like half the mufflers, or a resonator).
Then you're choosing a very specific muffling characteristic and resonant frequency on each path. This is sort of how the JCW active exhaust works on the new F56. It was a very expensive thing to engineer to get it "right".
The way the Honda kids do it, they just hack their OEM exhaust and make it dump so it's loud. If that's what you want, it's your car. But it will sound like crap to most of the rest of us. Don't come back and ask our opinion on how it sounds... You won't like our answer.

This breaks my heart to say. I sold the MINI...
I was really putting too much money into it, and I couldn't afford to keep her anymore. I put up a tester ad, and a gentleman contacted me and offered me WAY more than the car was worth. He even knew what was left to fix on it, and he bought it off of me for quite a lot. And it really does seem like a good time too, because apparently today it won't turn over and is having lots of electrical issues.
So now I'm MINIless.I'd love to get another R53 down the road, I just can't afford it right now, just due to how much it's costing me to keep up..
I really appreciate ya'll and how much you've helped me out with the MINI. My biggest regret is now I can't come to MOTD next year to meet you guys... Haha. I may still lurk around just to keep up on a few things here and there, but I'll probably be mostly absent.
Happy motoring!-

I think this car build went sour only because there simply aren't enough photos in this thread. Project car threads need more photos
Selling cars is pretty difficult for me - I grow attached to them, even cars like the Mini that are more trouble than fun. Perhaps the more time you spend on them the more you grow attached? I am putting mine on jack stands for the 4th or 5th time this summer today... still love that little thing.-

I think those really thick spacers usually bolt to the hub, and then the wheel bolts to the spacer.

If your going to get lowering springs contact Colin on RMW he can set you up with a set of Swift springs.
All for 25mm spacers,,, that's waaaaaay too much. All your need is a 5 or 8mm in the rear and up to a 16 mm in the front.
Good free advice is priceless, but spending your money twice to done the job right the second time gets expensive.
25 mm are going to make your car look like crap and handle even worse.-

I've got a set of 5mm spacers on the rear, while running TSW springs and a 215-45/17 tire. I've got no rubbing issues and like the look quite nicely. It's really all you need.

Just make sure you got some new hubs/bearings to replace the trashed ones..........

Going to that large of a spacer is going to greatly shorten the life of the bearings.

I went on a club run with MINI5280 and MINICOW, good fun, good folks. I ran out of gas partially through, stopped for 2 minutes for gas, then hauled to try and catch the group again, I didn't catch up until lunch break. Haha.
Also, a ride in Isobell pretty much convinced me to straight-pipe Joni... Sounds sooooo good...... And it really catches everyone's attention. Especially the State Troopers circling our group like sharks.-

So my crank damper pulley is bad. But Dick's gonna help me out with repairing it.
cct1, that sounds like a good setup. Honestly I really don't think it's something I'll tire of. I love a good drone. Haha. Remember, I am still young and stupid and like loud cars.
::EDIT:: Named wrong part-
