Write to autoxcooper...who WILL know where you can still get them, even if they are not listed on his site [he knows Joel]. If you cannot get a response from him, ask Steve Sarver [formerly of Group4], who might know where Joel is lurking.

It's called a JSart Rear Spoiler Extension [aka Wing Tip Extender]. It comes in gloss white, gloss black or matte primer black.

You might ask Way, as I think I saw one last year or so at MOTD on his used parts table. He might be able to help you.

He's not making them anymore. He got tired of all the BS. You can see if you can change his mind, but I seriously doubt you will unless there's a big number of people looking for them. Good guy, I hope someone can talk him into it.

Yeah, last I spoke to Joel he was done with all this.

The discussion about the how's, why's and that carp is best after a few beers around a fire in NC.

Do those mid extensions [just below the hatch window] really work, or are they supposed to look like they mean business? I can understand why someone with a 'vert might want one, but they seem rather stupid to put on a hatchback. :confused5:

They do nothing but add JDM cred.

If you add one I will point & laugh at you every time you drive by at the Dragon.:lol::lol::lol:

One thing this car does not need is downforce at the rear. What is needed is a wing to help clean up the air coming off the roof to eliminate drag.

Yup ^^ Our cars need splitters for more front down force. The last thing we need is rear DF.

The JSart wing extension works well for me on the track...it does what it is supposed to do. I'm REALLY sorry Joel has decided not to make them anymore, though, but I can understand the crap he had to put up with and why he made that decision.

Don't worry, Dave, I will NEVER put that God-awful middle piece of crap on any of my MINIs. :nonod:

Besides the JSart extension, I really like the canards he made for the front of my S, just above the factory fogs...really helps set the nose when braking.

I wonder if it helps keep the rear window from collecting so much crap :mad2:

Nope, not one bit. I was on NAM back before M\A was born and thought about buying one and after all the reviews it really did nothing.

They are really only for the 1st Gen verts to all a little style.

Oh well I'll just keep looking for a used JCW wing. Thanks for the input.

FYI~ I searched all over the web including eBay and could not find one even used yesterday. (JSart)

If you really want one you may try posting on the god forsaken NAM.

Also the 1st Gen JCW rear spoiler will also be hard to find but it should be easier then finding the unicorn one above. MINI no longer has them so you will be buying a used one like I did. :ihih:

The long search for my JCW rear wing was worth the wait for me.

Nick, the JCW wing is by far the best looking IMO but another option is the MINI Challenge/GP type wing. There are some of those that come up for sale occasionally. In fact, I thought Dick (mod father) had one for sale at the Dragon last year.

I dunno if the middle one does, but I DO know that the JSart extension DOES cut down on the crap that accumulates on the back. For some reason, the one I have on my R50 does a better job of keeping the back clear, though, than does the one for my R53.
