I dunno if the middle one does, but I DO know that the JSart extension DOES cut down on the crap that accumulates on the back. For some reason, the one I have on my R50 does a better job of keeping the back clear, though, than does the one for my R53.

Joel tried to explain it to me, but, as usual, it went in one ear and out the other. All I know is that it is affixed to the underside of the wing extension and looks kinda like an upside down comb [with the "teeth" pointing downwards]. It's supposed to help channel the air...I think.

They are vortex generators placed under the body of the wing. I don't know all the science behind it, I sorta understand what they do but not well enough to write about it.

MINI now uses a modified one on the C pillar.

Mistubishi had them on the Lancer EVO

Usain Bolt had canards and velocitors installed on his scrotum. The improved aerodynamics changed him from a pedestrian sprinter to the world's all-time fastest human being.

The vortex generators should pull the air down over the rear window. But the way they are mounted on the underside of the wing would pull the air up not down. They would be better on the roof under the wing.

Makes perfect sense. Lifts the back end up so it is free to rotate in the corners. Also makes rear tires last a bit longer. :ihih:

    ^^^^ LOL

Just skip the whole wing and extensions and remove it altogether.

Just have the two little holes filled and be completely custom. :ihih::Thumbsup:

Yeah, last I spoke to Joel he was done with all this.

The discussion about the how's, why's and that carp is best after a few beers around a fire in NC.

I wonder if it helps keep the rear window from collecting so much crap :mad2:

FYI~ I searched all over the web including eBay and could not find one even used yesterday. (JSart)

If you really want one you may try posting on the god forsaken NAM.

Also the 1st Gen JCW rear spoiler will also be hard to find but it should be easier then finding the unicorn one above. MINI no longer has them so you will be buying a used one like I did. :ihih:
