OK Mark - you're on the list!

I've also offered this at NEMINI and PhillyMINI. I'm closing the group buy there this coming Sunday. We don't have 15, but it's close enough that I'll just buy a few extras in order to get us up there...

Wow that's pretty great for 200k. It also settles me to know that your clutch lasted to 191k. How did you manage to only change the brakes twice?

I hit 100k in my Cooper around mid June. 500 or so miles later my transmission said it has had enough. Besides the blown trans, I've had the clutch changed at 60k, and some other minor things break. After I get my car back, I'll hope to put as many miles as possible on it......until the transmission pops again.

Just got back from 4500 miles trip to MITM4 in Colorado and hit 91K still have original front brake pads and only had one clutch under warranty put in so far. Its 2005 and original battery. 4 more major events this year so should be very close by end of year.

I'm at 84,000 and closing fast. I'll likely break 100,00 well before MOTD8.

  10. when my car reaches 100k, im going to get it RMW tuned. that's for sure.
my koopa is at 75k right now, and ive only had it for a year.

    can you believe it?
    its a 2003 R50, but i bought it in Aug 08 with 48k.
not too bad right? 5 years, less than 50k

    then....
exactly a year later, last august 2009, i found out it had reached like,
    72k

did a lot of driving in that one year lol.

Holy cow that's a LOT of miles!!! Good thing insurnace isn't milage-based. I'm the exact opposite. This is my 10th month with Spike and he's reached 2600 miles :D

Wow, that's fantastic!! Congrats on 200k.......here's to 300k!!!!

  15. umm about 3-4 days a week i drive 50 miles 2 ways. i live 25 miles away from the college i go to, so driving back and forth really racked up those miles lol. luckily, a couple nights a week i spend the night at my cousin's place who lives right across the street from school :D so those few nights really help my gas usage.

and sometimes i may drive that direction not for school, but for my girlfriend. she's also about the same distance away and lives fairly near Mt. San Antonio College. and when im hanging out with her, were going everywhere in all directions! so i do a lot of motoring :cornut:

lol yes it a lot of miles. i honestly dont know how my isnurance is based because my parents are the ones who talked about that ish at the dealer hah. but i do know i have a warranty that backs any broken part, and if its over a certain number in $$$ (i think its like 200 or 500 dollar in parts&labor) then all i gotta pay up is 200 and all will be fixed.

dude, 10th month and not even 5000 miles. that's a miracle in my book
is everything you need to go to close to your home? my buddy with a honda fit put 5000 miles within the summer months hahha. he got his car in june and by the end of september it had 5000k.

I'm 9,000 miles away from 100K now myself. Wherever I am when it happens, I plan to stop then and there to commemorate the event. I plan to keep one of the metal 100K badges in the MINI so I will be ready to make the install on the spot.

I have the 100K and 50K badges in stock and also have matching hat/lapel pins:

    100K and 50K badges

    100K and 50K pins

I work 9 miles from home, when I do drive. During the summer I didn't drive (to work) once between June and Sept on account of being on my bike. I did do drive to hockey 2 or 3 times a week. That's one thing I can't do on my bike :frown2: When I traded in my 318is for Spike it was a 1991 and it had 45,000 miles on it :D

  18. mannn i really want a bike for myself.
a sexy black GSXR 750 would be a dream.
saves me so much gas, and i got around quicker and will be easier to find parking spots.
    :D

The first few years I was driving 150+ miles a day - five days a week. Now I'm down to just two or three days of at that distance.

I'm slowing down - i've only added another 14,000 since the original post. Turned 214,000 yesterday on the way home.:D
