Also not my thing... but that said, NICE TUCK.
Very nicely executed. And practical, as these things go.

The beautiful thing about MINI's is that everyone has their own vision of how to customize one to fit their style.

That's a nice crisp looking MINI. The (absolutely beautiful) wheels really fit in with the overall look.

It looks best to me at "ride height". I know ZERO about air suspensions except they provide the means to alter ride height at will, so don't tase me...

Did it soften up the ride by very much? Did it impact the handling very much? Is each airspring's pressure isolated from the other three or are they on a common manifold?

It softened the ride a bit- took the roughness out of it, which for me outweighs any handling losses. The struts are adjustable for damping, and I have them set halfway between full soft and full stiff, so I'd imagine one could make it closer to stock if they desired.
Each corner is isolated, so air can't transfer and induce lean. The factory sway bars are unaffected, too, so cornering doesn't feel much different for me. Granted, I changed over to the new wheels and tires at the same time, so ditching the run-flats helped a bit too!
