The only time I have ever had an issue with the key remote, the MINI was parked close to some overhead high tension electrical wires. But that was just to unlock the doors. Once inside it started OK. Now that I think back about it my hair was also standing on end and I couldn't remember much at the time.
Just curious....... if you hold the un-lock button down on the key fob for a little while, will your windows roll down and the sunroof pop up? Or does nothing happen at all?
