Where is silverbac? He has a kilt, maybe more than one. He might even play the pipes and he's local. Maybe he could play the wedding!

My mind immediately jumped to utilikilts, but it looks like price shot that down. My brother-in-law showed up for knee surgery in one. The folks in receiving chuckled, but when he didn't have to remove the knee braces and hardware to go home, the folks in discharge thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I would love a Utilikilt, but they are damned pricy. I found another company that makes a similar kilt that has some very promising reviews for about half the price. Maybe Ill get that and if I really like wearing it, Ill just go ahead buy one in the future.

    Utilikilt all the way.

Well made, lasts a long time. Saw one at a BMW (motorcycle) rally years ago, have had one ever since.

Expensive? For a wedding? Compared to tux rental, "the ring", reception hall, et al? Maybe, but it might be the least expense of that day ;-)

    Congrats, best wishes.

I already know she is expensive!!! My biggest cost was her engagement ring, and I got a nice deal on a piece of antique estate jewelry and she freaking loves it to no end.

But its really more of a can she afford me, lol. I have champagne taste on a beer budget, lol.

You'll no doubt do this without a piper. I've piped a number of weddings (some funerals, kirkin' o' the tartan, etc. - but no bar mitzvahs yet, alas) so here is a proper march medley extremely well done to see you out of the chapel. 'Mairi's Wedding' and 'The Barren Rocks of Aden'.

When I asked my now father-in-law if I could marry his daughter first he said "you should ask her" then he said "I'll decorate the ladder"
