Well the route proved to be great accept for the end. I'll adjust it before the second try. At least we started and most of us ended together.
Hope Erin feels better. The road didn't get any less twisty.
This is why I love this group car people helping car people.
Thanks for trying everyone. -

Nick thanks for laying out a wonderful drive.
Your idea of 2 loops was a very good one. I even saw some roads that were new to me.:biggrin5: Sorry we had a MINI break, but under the circumstances it turned out very well thanks to some very helpful folks.
What I learned from this, new belt every 30,000 miles & if it breaks be with good people.
You guys who missed the drive should be there if Nick does a version 2 of this one. Big fun.... :yesnod:
Did someone say pictures???

We saw you guys on 33 and waved and honked. We were in a red jeep at the intersection with the McDonalds, I don't think you noticed us, next time I guess I will have to do something to get your attention

Why were you in a Jeep???

We are Jeep sitting for my parents while they are on vacation. The roof is down and likely will not go back up till we give it back. Driving it makes my car feel like a rocket ship.

The Jeep's torque curve is almost perfectly flat, you rev to 2,500 then shift because adding revs does nothing but make noise (not even a nice noise) and uses more gas. Oddly the steering is really nice, the rack is super quick and it can almost make a U-turn on a two lane road without leaving the pavement, amazing turning circle.

I thought Jeep used rope & pulley steering. Amazing turning circle & an amazing roll over potential.

Wasn't quite sure at the moment who you were waving to but I did see you.

Home to run with you again, maybe without the trailer next time.

Did we ever get the verdict with the MINI that didn't quite make the entire run?
-
Will do! Thanks!
