Thank you for your contribution, Jason.....so nice to know that your local dealer has your support. Still, getting close to $200/hr just seems nutso to me! Ours charges $125, last I checked.....
I haven't been to a dealer recently, but a few years ago the going rate at SF Bay Area dealers was $180/hr. I Googled, and the current rate seems to be $195/hr.
We charge $128.00 here for Performance and $148.00 an hour for anything electrical. I know we are some what new to Mini world but we have been building some really nice Coopers lately. ::Shameless plug:: Check us out on facebook.com/rdzmotorsports::Shameless plug::
1+ but my preference is Helix and have the job done right the first time. Great guys, excellent work, no BS and very fair rates.
:cornut: They really had my support up through the 1st 50kmi when Margi (08R56 MCS/JCWm) was a 'garage queen.' She qualified for the Texas Lemon Law without breaking a sweat. Big high dollar items were breaking monthly. Even the dealer asked me whether I wanted to contact MINI USA. Now none of that is the dealers fault but when they charged $800 for water pump replacement, I started looking for experienced independent MINI garages. It's also called spreading the wealth around. Independent mechanics have a right to make a living also. Or don't they? Jason
