Reminds me a lot of the muscle car pistol grip shifters. I think it would look pretty sweet in my Studebaker. Thinking green with some metal flake, yeah that would look sweet.

That looks pretty cool. 3D printers are going to make things like this way easier.. what part of its is going to be steel? You thinking the center will be steel, the 3D printed stuff will be the lattice and the resin I assume will be clear so its more to "hold it together"?

Center lattice is steel, then yes, a resin cast to give the handle a little bit more form and that way I can take some sandpaper to it to continue to shape it.
Thanks!
I just added a hole through it to to model/print the press fitting, order sent in as well.

wmwny Well-Known MemberShouldn't the handle be in a "T" form? I just cannot imagine it being comfy any other way.
-
The way I handle mine, I prefer vertical. I had a ball knob with lattice created but decided that for the same cost, I would rather do this.

wmwny Well-Known MemberVertical seems a bit prehistoric to me...kind of like watching people stab a steak using a fork like a knife, plunging and sawing at the same time and not deftly cutting the meat.
