I put my race car on cruise control & slept the night away. Now this morning I'm playing catch up. :arf:
And the winner is..... at least the GT Pro that is. The team if not the same car won the triple crown of endurance racing. The Rolex 24 at Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring, and now Le Mans.
The overall winning Porsche was their Le Mans-only third car. WEC teams are allowed to enter two cars at every race other than Le Mans where they can have three. I'm not sure but that might mean none of Porsche's WEC team drivers were in the winning car. I've seen a lot of stats since the race, find this one most interesting...probably because most of the rest are just numbers and this one has a touch of irony.

Nice to see a new team on the top step & the third string for that team. I really don't care much for hybrid racing especially since these hybrids are so damned homely looking. At least the GT categories have some nice lookers in it. Congrats to the Corvette team.
I know! I had that in-car pulled up on one of my desktops with an external 5.1 system, so I was hearing that beautiful V8 all over my house, virtually the entire race, except for the few hours I slept Sat night. Le Mans is most definitely the premiere sporting event for me. Back When Mid-Ohio was being run properly and they actually staged real racing (!), I didn't miss the ALMS for years. Just to sit on several of the grassy mounds and feel the ground shake when the C5/C6r's would rumble by is something I will never forget...
Second best lap ever at Le Mans. Timo Bernhard realised an amazing 3:17:767 in first lap of Q1 Wednesday June 10 around 10:00PM [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBpVJGiTKcE"]Porsche 919 Hybrid onboard 24h Du Mans 3.17.767 T.Bernhard #17 - YouTube[/ame]
