Yep......
Find the fused circuit on the main and come out the side of the CB panel and wire in the transfer switch.
Also make real sure the exhaust from the generator running can't get back into the house (say from vents in the eaves or such).
The other thing you might think about.....
If your house burned down due to say, this DIY and the insurance found out the work wasn't done by a certified electrician, you may regret it.
Some things are just worth paying for.... Brain surgery, getting you pipes checked out, haircuts, just to name a few. I know, certain things that carry risk, I just pay for. But that's just me.

I got my hairs cut yesterday....
The barber wanted to know how I wanted my hair cut....
I told him to cut my hair, so I might get lucky with my wife....
He just about carped...
I did give him a nice tip for his efforts......
And before you ask, he must have done an OK job. -

I have Babs do mine. As long as the part in the middle is straight it's OK. -

Looks like we are in for some nasty weather the next few days. Early tomorrow morning, shortly before I have to leave for the airport:rolleyes5:, waves of freezing rain will hit for about 24 hours, leaving up to a 1/2 inch of ice on everything, then it will change to sleet, then snow, which could end up a foot thick on top of the ice. By the time it's over Wednesday, the temps will likely be in the single digits, with high winds.
Today I have to get the generator ready, just in case the power goes down. Hopefully by getting it ready to go, we won't lose power:idea:

I agree winter is nice and all, but spring can not get here soon enough. The forecast for the week said single digit lows and highs in the teens.

We're going to get the same crap as Lotsie....
Every year I say I don't think I can take another winter here, then come spring I forget all about how lousy it was. Then comes the 98* temps and 98% humidity of summer and I start muttering how nice it would be if it just would snow....
Of course, once we get thru the snow, sleet, ice etc, we'll be into tornado, hail and thunderstorm season. OH JOY.... -
66F as I write this here in Dallas, was 75 yesterday and in the 70's on Friday too. Monday brings the prospect of yet another warm, humid, overcast day before we to slip in the grips of winter again for a few days. Ice, snow and sleet for Tuesday. Coldest temps of the season being forecast for the rest of the week. It's Super Bowl week too, so this could be loads of fun.
Very glad I live on the other side of town from what will be madness. -

They are forecasting freezing rain for us here in Cowtown. I think I'd rather have 20 inches of snow than 1/4 inch of ice.

Actually I have gotten quite used to the cold. I find that fact very disturbing, I may need some professional help.

I'd much rather it get cold and stay cold. The 50+ degree swings here drive me bonkers. High of 75 on Sat and then low in the teens come Tue is rough.
