We have a good 6" on the ground in the ATL and more inbound. Supposed to be sleet tonight... Not good for our one snow plow city.

Glad I work at home as it isn't supposed to get above freezing until the end of the week.

Johngo, I was down there this weekend for the AG Connect Expo and got the F out of town early yesterday afternoon when it appeared to me that Hot-lanta was going to be snow bound. I just talked to 3 others that were with me that decided to stay...they may get a flight cleared by Wednesday?

You were smart. This town S U C K S when it comes to snow and getting out from under it. It is just above freezing, so it keeps melting and refreezing. Just watched a bunch of people walk down the street and they were slippin' and slidin' everywhere. Glad GTiki is safe and sound in the garage.

Yeah, we're supposed to get 3-6" starting tomorrow at noon here in Columbus. No big deal. The salt and brine trucks will start throwing down their magic elixir tonight and tomorrow morning.
Getting tired of winter though. Spring needs to hurry up and get here.

Spring will get here fast for those of us headed to MOTD. By the time MSSD comes around, winter will be just around the corner again. :cornut:

I drove to last year's MOTD via Tellico Plains and the Cherohala Skyway...hit unplowed snow and ice near the top of the mountain [and down the other side] and was thrilled that I hadn't changed over to my summer tires and still had the all seasons on. Then, on the way back, we hit those terrible flooding rains thru KY to Ohio, and were forced to hydroplane along at around 25 mph on I-75. So much for Springtime driving....

You to, I hit Nashville during the flood, one hour after I went thru they shut down I-24, I thought I was going to need oars by the time I got to Kentucky.

This year bring the summer tires along too, in case you need to switch. :cornut:

See growing up up north 3-6 didn't even count as snow. Since there were salt/sand trucks and plows.

But in georgia, we have been stuck in the house for two days now. There are no trucks to clear or salt anything. The hills are quite steep in spots, so where are you going? No where. hahaha

+6* and 8" of snow on top of my Clubby this am....welcome to Kansas.....

Supposed to get even more snow tonight....

At least here they do have snow clearing equipment, my 'hood was plowed to a packed 3" or so, so it was no problem getting up my hill. Once I hit the main arteries, they also were plowed and packed. The highways were thoroughly salted and sanded, and mostly clear all the way the 20 miles I drive to work. Still had those scared folks driving at 30 mph on the highway with their flashers on, but once around them it was carry on as normal.

Even tho it's sunny today, it's so cold that nothing will melt. Gotta have plenty of windshield washer splooge (as my wife calls it :D )

Actually, I'm kinda thinking to just run the summer tires down, anyway, and throw caution to the winds!

    Woo Hoo

Well, I am loving my winter tires today. We are getting 3-5 inches in Columbus today and I had no problem getting around town. :D

Worth every penny to have dedicated winter tires.
