Well, try temp swings from low to mind 20's, all the time and see if you change your mind. :cornut: Jim
It now looks like I will get out of STL, but it also sounds like I will be coming home to arctic conditions on Thursdayrrr: Mark
Now the weather guessers can't decide if we're gonna get 8" or 26" of snow - or when! Right now the ice is there but only on car windshields, driveways and steps, the roads are just wet. That's all supposed to change tonight about midnight when the snow should start - by tomorrow afternoon we should be getting hammered. If that happens we'll be shut down here at work. Good! I need a day off!
I'm hoping for a day off too. Pretty funny watching all my coworkers running around in circles screaming the sky is falling.
I can track where there are snow days by data in Google Analytics due to the increased traffic from the affected area over the avg daily traffic from the same area. Isn't the internet amazing!
Today I went to the liquor store, had the chimney checked, brought in some fire wood and picked up a load of hay, so nothing is going to happen. Jim
Take what Nate said Friday through Sunday was like here and then add in a little of Mark's weather... just enough to mess up DFW for three days... and then mild weather for the Jerry Bowl. Fun in Texas!
It looked like you all were getting hit hard when I was watching TV this morning. Perhaps it is a good day to spend at the bowling ally. :cornut: Jim
Probably not, there is a layer of ice under the 2-3" of sleet/snow. Every school system is closed, if parents brave the 18F temps and the ice then the places will be crawling with kids.
Sounds like you're getting the same thing we are - 8 hours to the north. The snow we're getting is very fine powder, it's hard for me to believe it's going to amount to much, but we've got about 3" down now and it's supposed to get to as much as 15" before it's done. I think we're on the edge of the storm tho, Missouri is going to get hammered by comparison.
Isn't this the second winter in a row that you all got hit? I know it is not usual for down you way. I figured the bowling alleys would be clear and the malls full of kids. Jim
