The body looks surprisingly clean / crisp. The wheels look horrendous and I’m not a fan of the headlights although they allow the the body to be smooth if that makes any sense.

To each there own…I suppose. I don’t love the F series MINIs but they’ve grown in me, over the years. I drove one recently and it was not bad. There was a time I hated the idea of the Countryman…now I own one! I’m not sure I always understand the designers eye, but whatever. I will say the last Gen GP drives me nuts with those giant carbon plate things over the wheel wells. MINI at least is still unique in a sea of SUVs, and electrified driving appliances!

I'LL PROBABLY GET SLAMMED FOR THIS, BUT, WHAT THE HELL?

It seems to me that MINI is drifting East, wayyyyyyyyyyyy East in its presentation of future MINIs. should I say, 'ah so'?

I agree with the sentiment to "each their own". I may get used to the new look given enough time. The wheels are really mondo bizzaro.

Someone said it in another thread, but I do think the hate of anything not R50/52/53 did run a bunch away. Was it the the new original, sure! Did I own several and love them, absolutely! But I also had an R55, R56 and now R60 that I like for their own accord. Honestly my R56 Justa was probably close to the most fun one I owned. It was light, like 120hp or something and so toss-able. The F series came along and yeah they have an odd snout, and then the 4-Doors have odd body lines and let’s be honest the Countryman goes against everything MINI. But they all handle surprisingly well and the Countryman, Clubman and the more family oriented ones keep the lights on at MINI. Not to mention keeping people with families or growing families(me), in a MINI.

The accord is a Honda Jason.:D Better get a clubman while you can, discontinued. :Dead:

The head hater is gone, but the folks who were run off ain't coming back. I'd sure like to be proven wrong on that one.

I think those Porsche SUVs are keeping that company afloat.

It absolutely did work for Porsche and yes I’m not sure they’d exist without the Cayenne and Macan.

Ok I guess it is an improvement on the last gen. I wish the EU would get rid of the pedestrian crash rules that would help styling. I am not a big EV fan.

Once again it works for Porsche as they have an all electric vehicle. I don’t follow Porsche forums but I’ll bet the old 911 guard hated 914’s, 928’s, 944’s , and I bet they really disliked water cooled 911’s let alone 4 door passenger cars but they most grudgingly have to admit there would be no Porsche without the changes.
