Uh, guys, you do realize that not only will the clean up take time, it is also a monetary issue for Tennessee? Have you seen all the rock slides and closed roads in that state? There's a lot of them. This winter was harsh in the extreme as far as rock slides went. The Tennessee department of transportation may bankrupt themselves fixing them all. (OK, they're gov't funded, so they can't go bankrupt, but you know what I mean.) It's not like they're just standing around with their thumbs in their butts refusing to fix the road. They're stretched real thin as far as money and resources go. No matter how many letters you write, none of that will change.
But letters can help determine the priority of fixes. Elected officials flock to money and visitors leaving money from other places in their state is a very good thing. Each letter sent a is a voice powered by $ signs. There are a heck of a lot of places we can all go yet we decide to go here again and again. Show us the love by fixing the roads and we will shower the area with money. Thats what our letters say.
Think I sent out 5 emails and actually got my first response from Doug Overbey (TN state Representative) on Sunday. Thanks for your email. We're working on it.
