Got my Light-in-Sight in last week, and installed.

All I can say is that it's working better than expected: I've not run into a red light in three days!

    Thanks, Light-in-Sight!

Football quarterbacks these days seem to like stowing their mouth guards in the side of their face mask...I guess sticking it to your wind screen after the game works too.

:cornut: Actually, in Texas we know how to raise and lower the seat to accommodate the sun visors while dealing with Gods University of Texas Burnt Orange sunset.

There is a rather large gaggle of "Mother's Against Jason" groundhogs that are just waiting for him to venture down a long dark Taxas dry gulch some evening.... It won't be pretty.... :eek6:

:lol::lol: I can't stop laughing. Went to tell Lady Margi and couldn't get the words out. Pretty soon she was laughing at me laughing. Thanks Metalman, that was great! Thank you for showing DaveO. the error of his reasoning in this particular instance.

Aaron just let me know that they have been out of stock for several months and Light-In-Sight are getting back to making them again. So.....both of you now owe ME a donut :). I'll collect at the Dragon!

As long as it does what it is supposed to do and does not clutter up the windshield, I REALLY could care less about its retro look.

Yeah, in Texas there ARE no traffic lights that people stop at...just those wide-open spaces!

Maybe you could write up a how-to & put it up in the garage. Not sure I understand that feature of my MINI.

I personalty like the "retro" look. Somebody said my graphics were 70's, which upset me, as I was trying for the 60's. :D

Another alternative to a light in sight is don't stop right on the white line. Leave a few feet of space and you will be able to see the light for free.

Also if an accident happens at the intersection you won't be right on top of it and possible be hit.

I had mixed results with the alternative I had suggested. It worked great as long as the suction cup stayed on, but, all too many times it would pop off whenever I hit a bump and then I'd have to scramble to find it before my next light. In the end, I took it off all together and it now resides on my workbench.

I was VERY fortunate to receive the LightInSight that Rigidjunkie had, and, like JMC40 suggested, consider it "worth its weight in gold". It's probably worth even more than that now that it appears that the company is no longer manufacturing them, despite all the claims to the contrary.

I guess the sun doesn't rise or set as low on the horizon in TX as it does in OH, and a big, adjustable visor is what is worth its weight in gold. Besides, the MINI visors REALLY suck....
