There's a pic of Joel's car either here or on NAM of the wing. Nice looking and it's adjustable. I've got to get to Joel's next weekend or the one after. He wants to use my car for a few GP things. Wing extension for a real GP wing is one of them.
I'm digging around in my photos to see if I snapped a shot of the GP being hacked up, I'm pretty sure I just stood there trying to figure out what was happening though. Up until that point I'd never heard of such a major modification to a GP.
I'm home too. Fantastic weekend. Great weather, hundreds of miles of killer motoring, found some new roads that I had missed on my previous 8 trips, led a great small group drive on Saturday... all good. Nice to see some old friends and make some new ones.
oh yes is! hey don! unfortunately my wet track sessions didn't translate well on tuesday:blush2: i really can't say enough about how thankfull i am towards helix/eric for getting me up and running...well!!! that boy does miracles! sadly, i am now rocking a camry:cryin: overall, i am very happy to say that i had a great time.......even though i was this year's "that guy." see y'all next year!
For those wanting to see some Group 4 shots. Front on view of the splitter in the first picture and diffuser on the second picture is from THE G4 MINI at the Dragon. That thing was Boss.
My dad caught this fun shot when we were setting up for the MASSIVE group photo. Some cars, to get into position for the photo, had to go up this pretty steep hill to get into place. Fun stuff like this ensued. People clapped afterward.
I guess people are getting home or getting some connections away from the Dragon. need more pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm home...957 miles in 14 hrs. Sorry for the lack of updates. Internet connectivity was really spotty when it was available. Uploading images was impossible. The prototype GP wing was fitted to my car on Wen and Thurs to show it off. I have lots of pics, just need to find the SD card.
So what did you think of it Nathan? I'm on the fence still. I like how it's adjustable. Any idea on the price and are they available? Sorry but I'm interested :cornut: Oh and man was that a long drive or what ut: Longboard
I rather like the R53 wing myself. The R56 version not so much. No idea on price or availability at this time. I expect that one the G4 folks get a chance to get home and recuperate for a day or so we'll see more news from them. The drive back wasn't to bad, a little rain in Alabama and Mississippi. The worst part was when I got gas as I entered TX. The car would only run on 3 cylinders. Then about 30 miles down the road it was back to normal. I didn't shut it off till I got in the garage and have yet to restart it to see whats going on.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for making this years' MOTD a fantastic event! . From meeting the Leo's early Thursday morning to the fun jet boat ride to the Dragon parade and MINI car show, B.S.ing with all my friends, chatting with the vendors, and of course the Ice Cream run were all a blast. Thanks to everyone for making me feel at home. Props to Mother Nature for making this the first MOTD in a long time that was DRY! :cornut: The drive home going through Kentucky however was rather soggy, oh well! Cheers, Ryan
What an awesome time! I am SO there next year! Here are some of my pics if anyone is interested: Me and MOTD
