Hi All, Susi and I will not be attending MOTD this year due to some new scheduling issues, and have a one bedroom "Willows" cabin with a driveway we are giving up. Reservations are from 04/29/15 thru 05/03/15. Does anyone here need it before I call Fontana Village Resort and cancel with them and fight for my money back? It is on Cheoah Rd. next to the Church has a driveway and had small fire pit. And since MOTD 2016 is pushed deeper into May we will not be attending next year either. So depending on how Fontana Village Resort wants to screw with the cabins as they have a history of doing, you may be able to secure this one for next year also. we have been in it for the past 5 years. I will check my PM's every hour this morning if there are any takers. Not sure how to give it to someone and still get my money back but maybe someone here has done it and can help. Thanks, Tripp

My roomie cannot come to MOTD this year as his wife was just hospitalized. I need a roomie.

I have a 2 bed room at the Lodge in Fontana, downstairs. It has bath/shower/tub, sink, small fridge. tv, a/c, and heat. The beds are queens.

My reservations are from 4/28 thru 5/2 with checkout Saturday morning [5/2].

I smoke cigars but only outside.

Your cost will be $50 per night [4 nights].

I have had yet another roomie flake!!! Im looking for someone to take the other twin bed in my room in a 2 bedroom cabin in Fontana. This is Katie's cabin, she ask that you help with spaghetti dinner (if your down that early) and no crazy party people. The bed is open Sunday-Sunday, PM me if your interested!

Hi there,

My wife and I are preparing for our first MOTD (can hardly wait!). So we decided to go ahead and rent a cabin we considered is close enough to Fontana (9.5 miles - 18 minutes) and the Dragon Tail (18 miles - 32 minutes) for the dates of April 28 through May 3 (5 nights, Tuesday through Sunday).

But it would be great if we can find 1 or 2 other couples interested in sharing . The cabin has 4 bedrooms (1 w/king bed [we call dibs!], 2 w/queen bed, and 1 w/single bed) and 2 full bathrooms, so everyone would be comfortable.

Cost would be $50 per night, per bedroom.

Anyone interested?

 

The wife and I are not able to go last minute and have an RV hookup site available if anyone wants it. It's down at the bottom of the dam. It's $35 a night Wednesday through Sunday night totalling $140. I've only deposited $35. Comment if interested

Due to a death in the family I will not be able to come out this year! I have a cabin available from Tuesday, Apr 28, 2015 after 5:00PM, departing Sunday, May 03, 2015.

I paid a little over 700 for the stay and would be willing to give it up to someone for 600!

I may not have a bed but i should have a couch or space for someone to camp out in if they need a place to crash...wednesday to sunday morning...60 bucks a night to split the difference

 

Hmm... You pulled the body off the frame to wrap it! I like your style! The truck is a BEAST though, I had a good ride!

Reserving a Fontana cabin ASAP, but may cancel it if I end up buying a house down there!

 

The truck is getting outfitted with some new goodies so it was a good time to have the cab pulled off. Not much going on with the MINI build at the moment, still waiting on the engine to get back.

Don't worry the truck will be about twice as fast as when you got a ride in it!
