A small block changes the whole car for me. If it's a small block then it has to be a Sunbeam Tiger.

I have nothing against the 427, but to my eye it looks cartoonish. Or maybe like it's been to the gym a lot & shot up a whole lot of steroids.
Ah, different strokes.... :beer -

I most likely will be back up at Mid-Ohio, but I'll know more about my plans on Friday.

They are doing an Auto X on Friday at the historical society I am helping to work the event. The Miata guys have said it is a very fun event and just like in London they give rides
Chuck that picture is wonderful, I am not a big wire wheel guy but the rest is so perfect. Just a simple shape around a frame and a big (but not huge) engine. -
The drawing is on the 25th, so that means only 2 more days til they ask me to come and pick up my new ride. :biggrin5:
And of course I am keeping the MINI. -

Think I might change my answer to a 427 Daytona coupe. After taking a ride in one today it is amazing how great that engine sounds bouncing off the enclosed space. I also have to say after driving an S2000 on an AutoX course I would really like to pick one of those up some day. Turn in is so crisp and the car is very adjustable with the throttle, and my goodness it revs to the heavens.

Yeah, saw you guys in the parking lot of the Ohio Historical Society. I was on 71 South around 1:30 today. Saw a few Cobras going around cones. Knew you were there but didn't see the Subie.

Funny story for everybody:
Usually the Miata club uses a boat battery and an inverter to power the score sign. Today it was missing so we went and bought another one, it didn't work. So one of the Cobra guys had one but it only worked with a cigaret lighter. Turns out my car had the most convenient location so my car powered the sign today.
So I had to run out for lunch and one of the Miata guys lent me his car. I tried and tried to get it to start but it just wouldn't turn over nothing was happening when I turned the key. So I go back to him and make sure I was in the right car. I go back and realize I was putting the key in the air bag switch not the ignition.
So a mile down the road I realize the hood is popped. I decide to jump out at a stop light but the door will not unlock. I pull over and fiddle with the lock but still couldn't get out. So I Dukes of Hazard out and close the hood. I drive to lunch and realize I can't get out without the roof and windows down and I can't leave the roof and windows down. Then sure enough I turn the car off and the doors unlock. Lesson learned 2nd gen Miatas unlock when you turn them off. -

Hey Jeff, can you drive the Cobra over here for me. I'm a tad tuckered out from being at Mid-Ohio most of the day.
Thanks Jeff! -
Wish I could
Chuck/Mark,
I went to the dinner/auction/drawing tonight for the cobra show. Thanks to folks like the two of you I am happy to let you know that the Ohio Cobra Club handed over a check for $100,000.00 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. :biggrin5:
You already know this, but car people are good people:wink:
The announced a ladies name for the winning ticket, but she wasn't there and they were trying to call her to let her know. -
