Probably not, but there might be components of the system that we could produce, like the water to air cooler that we are looking at. It's got a cross-flow design that would be pretty unique.

SO Eric, you're saying this is nothing but a high-tech muffler to save your hearing on the trip down, and to cool the exhaust just a bit? Ummm hmmmm...

    See you at MOTD

Yep, we have the straight exhaust on a v-band clamp, so one bolt will change the exhausts. We'll bring both.

Good to see people still pushing the limits with the R53 - looks like a better "fit" for the mini then a conventional twin charge

Any updates on this and any chance of some more pictures please - where do you route the turbo line back into the intake?

Rear mounted turbo. STS was the first company to build these and they are a great way of adding a turbo. Really solves the packaging and under hood heat issues.

Umm I don't think Eric (@Helix) did this as something that would go in production but more as a "check this out" project for the Wilderbeast.

I don't know of anyone else that has put a rear mounted turbo in an R53 Mini while also still running the stock SC.

The car is really rippin now. I am waiting our new R53 Liquid/Air intercooler to come in from the factory then I will retune and dyno. BTW this is a Mini with 134k on the clock and a basicly stock motor. I think I may be pretty close to the 300WHP mark.

I REALLY hate to say this but I am really liking the gold wheels more and more on the Wildebeest everytime I see a different picture.

    They just go with it.

Any shots from under the hood?

I am interested in seeing how you routed the turbo lines back to the intake?

If you don't want to share any of this information I understand

Man, that is so much cleaner than the normal T/C setup.

Eric, have you measured the difference in temps between just out of the turbo compared to up front? That's got to beneficial in overall air cooling.

Ok I'll bite, Since I've often wondered how they do this on the rear mounted Camaro STS turbo kits..... Since turbo return lines are often gravity you clearly can't use gravity to return the oil to the pan. Do you use a separate pump to pump oil to and from the turbo way back there? Is it also a water cooled turbo or just oil cooled? 2nd.... I just made my own exhaust on my car and there is NO SPACE back there. I'm miffed how you hung a turbo back there. I built my own 3 inch in into dual 2.5 inch out split right there and hung it with a exhaust hanger mounted to the battery box and that was ALL the space I had. I'm amazed you found more space there then up front for the turbo.
